
John McClellan, CCIM, Senior Advisor with Sperry Van Ness – Miller Commercial Real Estate in Salisbury, MD has announced that Westwood Development LLC has acquired the 9-acre parcel that was intended to be Stock Building Supply lumber yard and warehouse.
Stock Building Supply purchased the parcel in September of 2006. The decline in housing sales and new construction forced the company to restructure and sell excess properties.
According to officials with Westwood Development LLC, “We are disappointed that a quality company like Stock was not able to develop their Salisbury location and we elected to repurchase the property to help maintain the integrity and development standards established in Westwood Commerce Park. We look forward to finding a company to build on this location.”
